Summer Camps 2010
For 2010 we are offering a variety of camps! Students will learn theatre terminology, theatre games, and a recital piece. Parents and friends are invited to the recitals which will be performed during the last class period on our stage. Also look for our UMNH partner Camp and our YOUTHSTAGE auditions for Romeo and Juliet.

2 WEEK CAMPS

The themes this year are ACTION, FAIRIES, MONSTERS, and MUSICAL THEATRE. Students will have fun at the theatre by playing games, making new friends and rehearsing for a short play based on the theme.
1 WEEK CAMPS
Monday - Friday 9am - Noon

Camp out for a week with DANCE, VOICE and SHAKESPEARE. Campers will work towards a showcase of what they have learned with their classmates.

CLASS RATIO
Class ratio is typically 20 students/instructor. An instructor's assistant/intern may be present if the class size is over 20 students. The Children's Theatre reserves the right to make adjustments to class size, instructor's and assistants as needed.

Early Season Member Discount
Become a Season Member for our 2010-11 season and you will receive your theatre school discounts right away.
MULTIPLE CHILDREN
A discount will be given of $10 for each student from the same family if registered and paid at the same time.
ADDITIONAL CAMP DISCOUNT
A discount will be given of $10 for each additional camp the same student is enrolled.
CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS
LOW ENROLLMENT
The Children’s Theatre reserves the right to cancel any camp based on low enrollment. Tuition will be refunded 100% of the amount originally paid.

So you think you are ready for the old english, are you? Well, nobody wrote it better than William, and now it’s your turn to take a spin around the "globe" to understand and speak Shakespeare’s tongue. (This is a great camp for those who are auditioning for the YOUTHSTAGE summer production)

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written early in the career of playwright William Shakespeare about two young "star-cross'd lovers" whose untimely deaths ultimately unite their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his lifetime and, along with Hamlet, is one of his most frequently performed plays.

Afternoons, typically 4:30pm to 7:30pm and Saturday Mornings. Schedule will be available in June.

Singing everyday is what you will do when you enter this camp. Your VOICE CAMP INSTRUCTOR will guide you through the perilous adventure of singing in front of an audience. Campers will learn to understand sheet music and music vocabulary while singing through some great musical theatre songs. (This is a great camp for those who are planning on taking MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP)
Registration is through UMNH
Drop campers off at Children's Theatre by 8:30 am and pick them up at UMNH by 4:30 pm. Camp fee includes a $20 transportation fee.

THEATRE MYSTERY

FULL DAY PARTNER CAMP with Children's Theatre. Calling all super sleuths...we’ve got a crime to solve! This camp has the perfect combination of theatre performance and hands-on forensic investigations. Campers will begin their day at the Children’s Theatre where they will experience casting, rehearsing and performing in a play called “Mystery Theatre”. In the afternoon at UMNH, we’ll conduct fingerprint tests, create secret formulas, build spy tools and extract DNA. Join us and find out ‘who-dun-it’.
