JUNGLE BOOK OPENS AT THE CHILDREN'S THEATRE
TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR ALL SHOWS NOW THROUGH MAY 30TH.

Salt Lake City, UT, April 13, 2009 – Adapted from the timeless children’s book, JUNGLE
BOOK opened this past Friday, May 1st and runs through May 30th with three
performances each weekend. During the run of JUNGLE BOOK, The Children’s
Theatre will unveil the 2009-10 schedule of programming, marking the theatre’s 25th
season of cultivating youth theatre performances and education.

JUNGLE BOOK, adapted and directed by James Parker from the Rudyard Kipling
classic, tells the story of Mowgli a little man-cub found by a wolf pack deep in the
jungle. When Shere Khan the tiger, learns that Man is in the jungle the hunt begins.
Mogli will have to rely on friends like Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther, to avoid
all the dangers of the jungle and return safely back to the man-village. Following the
success and full houses for THE PRINCESS & THE PEA, the $12 general admission
tickets will sell fast for this comedic adventure.

As The Children’s Theatre rolls out an exciting and extensive 2009-10 season in May, a
new web address and new site greets audiences young and old. The new site,
www.TCTheatre.org, offers a new streamlined point of sale for tickets and season
memberships as well as making the information and registration for our School
Performance and Theatre School programs easier to use. 2009-10 SEASON
MEMBERSHIPS FOR THE MAINSTAGE AND YOUTH STAGE SEASONS ARE NOW
ON SALE!!!

The Children’s Theatre is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has operated in various
locations in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah since 1985 and currently operates a 99-seat
black box theatre at 237 S. State Street. The Children’s Theatre’s mission is to inspire
children to cultivate creativity through the theatrical arts, and produces three programs,

Princess & the Peas Sells Out

PRINCESS & THE PEA Sells Out Opening Weekend of Children’s
Theatre March Mainstage Run. Tickets Still Available.

Salt Lake City, UT, March 10, 2009 – Children’s Theatre and School of the Arts
announces the sold out opening weekend and continued March run of the
Mainstage performance of PRINCESS AND THE PEA. The musical comedy
adaptation of the well-known fable opened to three full houses on March 6th
and 7th and continues its run through the end of the month with Friday shows at
7:00pm and Saturday shows at 1:00pm and 4:30pm.

PRINCESS & THE PEA, based on the classic fairy tale, directed by Emily Trulson
Parker and adapted by James Parker opened to delighted crowds. “It's virtually
impossible for a child to lose interest in the show given that the action is right in
front of them, and sometimes involving them! And then there's the humor - plenty
of laugh-out-loud moments keep kids and adults giggling,” raves Parents
Connect Local. The intimate theatre setting, vibrant art design and strong
performances make this medieval tale, full of pure silliness and wonderful music,
a delight for children of every age.
