Acting School Policies
Code of Conduct
Never harass, demean or mock other students or teachers. Use of illegal drugs is forbidden. Use proper language and conduct around other students and teachers. No inappropriate touching of other students/teachers. (First instance – immediately dismissed, permanently).
Students participating in all classes should wear clothing and footwear to facilitate movement. Hair should be pulled back and jewelry, hats, or other distractions should be avoided. No “short-shorts” or tank tops. Vulgar symbols or lettering on clothing is not permitted. No gum or candy is allowed in class.
Students breaking any of the code of conduct rules will have the following disciplinary actions: The first instance: student will be given a verbal warning by the teacher(s). The second instance: student will be given a verbal warning, and parent/guardian will be contacted. Third instance: student will be dismissed permanently from class/camp.
Payment Policies
Tuition will be due ON OR BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS. If tuition is not paid, student will not be allowed to attend class. Any checks with insufficient funds will incur a $30.00 “bounced check fee”.
Refund/Exchange Policies
75% refund after the 1st day of class and 50% after 2nd class NO REFUNDS after the 2nd day of class
Holidays/Snow Closures
If the school needs to close due to unforeseen weather conditions, no make-up classes will be held. The theatre is generally closed on most holidays. Please check you class schedule.
The Children’s Theatre & School of the Arts reserves the right to cancel, combine and add any class based on enrollment. Registration is not complete until the form is signed by a parent, accepted by The Children’s Theatre & School of the Arts, and fees are paid.
Parents and participants recognize that theatre classes are not without risk of physical injury and assume such risk, including the cost of medical treatment. The Children’s Theatre and School of the Arts can assume no responsibility for protecting children who leave the facility unaccompanied by a parent or guardian.
